Zakridatul Agusmaniar Rane

This drama tell about a husband Sir Robert Chiltern who have a terrible secret of his youth. He tries to hide it from everyone because it can destroy his life and career right now. Mrs. Cheveley who knows about his secret, uses it to intimidate Sir Robert Chiltern in order to Sir Robert support a doomed American canal scheeme in a speech of parliament and he agrees. But finally, Lady Chiltern (his wife) knows about his hidden secret and she is very disappointed to know that her husband is like so many other men, men who have shameful secrets. At the end of the drama, Lord Goring successes to stop Mrs. Cheveley’s plan and opens Mrs. Chiltern’s eyes to forgive her husband.
Overall there are two issues which become the main case in this drama. They are politic and feminism. Politic issue is shown in the agreement between Sir Robert and Mrs. Cheveley about the canal and also when Lord Goring makes agreement with Mrs. Chevaley about the diamond and blackmail plans. While the feminism issues are shown in Mrs. Cheveley involvement in politic and Lady Chiltern who actives social activities such as woman’s Liberal Association.
