The Relation between Oliver Twist and Charles Dickens’ Experience

The novel Oliver Twist that was written by Charles Dickens in 1838 is based on the experience of the author. Through this novel, the author tried to elaborate the social condition that the author experiences. This novel notable for Dickens' unromantic portrayal of criminals and their sordid lives. In this novel the author exposed the cruel treatment of many a waif-child in London, which increased international concern in what is sometimes known as "The Great London Waif Crisis" which had meaning “the large number of orphans in London” in the Dickens era.
The main character Oliver, described the life condition of orphans in London in the Dickens era where they were ignored and treated badly as the effect of industrialism on 19th-century England and the harsh new Poor Laws
